The Bangladesh Association of Greater Austin presents the Bengali New Year Festival, Saturday, April 20, 2013, from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Fiesta Gardens. The festival showcases the historically rich, colorful culture of Bangladesh featuring traditional foods, dress, indigenous arts and crafts, open air performances of music and dance, and a children’s cultural program. South Asian New Year Festival @ Zilker Park, April 14, 2012

The South Asian New Year (Pohela Boishakh) Festival–a traditional open air cultural program featuring music, dance, and fashion from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and China–takes place on Saturday, April 14, 2012 (Rain Date: April 15) from noon to 9 p.m. at the Zilker Hillside Theater, Zilker Park, in Austin, Texas.  Free and open to the public.
