The 14th Annual African American Community Heritage Festival takes place Saturday, February 23, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Huston-Tillotson University. This family friendly, free event includes a live entertainment mix featuring Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and R&B icon Dwele, “Austin’s First Lady of Jazz” Pam Hart and other entertainers; a Kid’s Zone; health fair; giveaway prizes; and vendors showing arts and crafts, books, clothing, jewelry, and more.
Last year’s festivities were highly successful with over 60 vendors, nearly 3,000 in attendance and fundraising efforts that granted $20,000 to the Huston-Tillotson University Scholarship Fund.
