Austin Latino Music Association (ALMA)
The mission of ALMA (meaning “soul” in English) is to increase knowledge and awareness in the community about local musicians and important historical figures in Austin’s Latino music scene, provide exposure and resources to local musicians, and to foster the development of young musicians who will keep Latino musical styles and traditions alive.
Austin Tejano Music Coalition
Mission:
- Support and expand the presence of a native Texas genre of music known as Tejano and its artistic contribution throughout the community of Austin and Central Texas.
- Preserve the historical and cultural significance of Tejano music by creating an environment of respect, understanding and appreciation.
- Promote the advancement of Tejano music and culture through unification, education, communication, and public awareness.
Cine Las Americas

The mission of Cine Las Americas is to promote cross-cultural understanding and growth by educating, entertaining, and challenging diverse audiences through film and media arts. Cine Las Americas’ programs include the exhibition and promotion of Latin and indigenous film and video, and the design and implementation of bilingual media arts education programs for minority youth in Austin.
La Peña

La Peña’s mission is to support artistic development, to provide exposure to emerging local visual artists, musicians, poets and other performing artists, and to offer Austin residents the full spectrum of traditional and contemporary Latino art.
The Serie Project
6601 Felix Avenue Austin, TX 78741 (512) 385-3591The Serie Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the fine art of serigraphy – a technique that produces original, hand-pulled prints. The organization offers an Artist in Residence (AIR) program that allows participants to learn the technique and create a limited edition of prints, under the guidance of a Master Printer. A large part of the Serie Project’s mission is to market the prints created by its resident artists. The Serie Project was founded in 1993 by Austin artist Sam Coronado.

Teatro Vivo is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to producing quality bilingual theater accessible to all theater audiences and artists.
