The Asian American Resource Guide contains valuable materials about Austin’s Asian American communities, although there is much that remains to be documented.  The Austin History Center  is looking for historical documents and other records on Asian Americans in Austin and Travis County, including any individual, family, business, organization, or entity that represents Asian heritage. The Austin History Center would like to collect and preserve materials related to the history of Asian Americans in Austin for research purposes.  Collections include:

  • Architectural Archives
  • Biography Files
  • Photographs
  • Maps
  • Periodicals
  • Recordings
  • Books
  • Published Documents
  • And Many Others

If you have items you would like to donate to the Austin History Center or have any questions, please contact Esther Chung, Neighborhood Liaison, at esther.chung@austintexas.gov or (512) 974-7394.
